The Course
The Heartstart Course is around 2.5 hours long and will give you the skills and confidence to be able to act in an emergency. The techniques are fun to learn, easy to remember and very simple! Courses are held fortnighly upstairs at the The Ball and Wicket Inn in Farnham at 7pm (parking is free and the pub serves great food for before/after the course!). We cover:
The course is a mixture of practical learning, theory and videos so you don't need any previous experience or knowledge and you don't have to take notes (unless you want to!). It is self contained, so at the end of the session you should have everything you need to be able to make a difference. You will also get a certificate of attendance.
All our instructors and helpers give their time free of charge. The course is therefore completely free, though we welcome donations to help cover equipment and running costs. To book a place click here.

- THE UNRESPONSIVE CASUALTY - providing vital aid to an unresponsive person
- CPR - administering CPR - cardio pulmonary resuscitation - in the event of cardiac arrest
- HOW TO USE A DEFIBRILLATOR - getting familiar with what a defibrillator, or AED, is and learning the key role they play in a successful resus
- CHOKING - what to do if someone is choking
